PSA Peugeot/Citroën and General Motors have confirmed they will develop four future vehicle projects as part of their ‘Global Strategic Alliance' as both parties grapple with dwindling sales and spiraling costs in the European market. The first is a joint program for a compact-class MPV for Opel/Vauxhall and a compact-class Crossover Utility Vehicle for the Peugeot brand. The second project has been confirmed as a joint MPV program for the small car segment for Opel/Vauxhall and the Citroën brand.

At least the Volkswagen Golf Match makes sensible use of the pun, unlike the VW Touran Match we got last summer or the Tiguan Match that turned up a couple of weeks ago. Rennsport IV, three days of serious Porsche love at Mazda Racway Laguna Seca, concluded on Sunday with a half-dozen races around the picturesque track near Monterey, Calif. And while there were a variety of all things Porsche to see and hear through the three days, Sunday saw some of Porsche's most powerful race cars take to the track. It was certainly a case of saving the best for last.
